S.F.S. College Alumni Association
History:
The need to form an Alumni Association was felts since long. An attempt to form a Alumni Association was made during Silver Jubilee year of the College ( 1981). The association was named FRANSALITES and an ad-hoc committee was formed to frame the rules of the association. The committee consisted of following members -
Mr Atal Bahadur Singh, Mr Sylvester E.T. Isaacs, Mrs. A Chatterjee, Mrs. A.C.
Power, Mr Charles Freitas, Mr NS Bedi, Dr. SR Jichkar, Mr P Budharaja, Mr Fazal Raheman, Mr Atul Bhatnagar.
With the changing times the need to rejuvenate the Alumni Association grew stronger and second and more successful attempt to form the Alumni Association named SFS College Alumni Association, was made in 2002. An Ad-hoc body was formed with Dr. RT Jadhav as President and Mr. Ashok Pal As Secretary. The body had regular meetings and conducted many get-togethers. It performed a commendable job during NAAC Committee visit in the year 2002 and also prepared a Memorandum of Understanding.
The First Annual General body meeting of the Association was held on Sunday, the 11th January 2004. Elections were held for first time and a Managing Committee with Dr MKN Yenkie as President, Mr. Pradeep Malewar as Secretary &
Mr. Mahesh Sharma as Treasurer were elected unanimously.
Objective of the Association
a.) To foster a feeling of fellowship amongst its members and to promote all persons associated with the institute.
b.) To stimulate thought and efforts for the dissemination, exchange and furtherance of knowledge, information research techniques and material, aids, skill and attitudes among its members.
c.) To conduct and / or assist in conducting conferences, meetings seminars, lectures, workshops or programmes in furtherance of the objectives of the Association.
d.) To sponsor and encourage research. To promote understanding and to maintain a constructive liaison amongst its members.
e.) To support and assist the professional development of its members.
f.) To undertake any activity which will promote brotherhood and facilitate exchange of ideas amongst its members.
g.) To accept grants, funds, property etc. Which will be used and disbursed for the activities of promoting and propagating the objectives of the association.
h.) To direct or indirectly help the Alma mater as and when called upon.
Membership & Registration :
An outgoing students who studied for one academic session in the college can become its members after filling a form and paying the required membership fee.
At present about 300 ex-students are registered members of the association.

Programmes Organized
The most popular programme is annual cricket match between present Students and Ex- students followed by Lunch. The other programmes included musical evenings with dinner. During the program outstanding ex-students from different walks of life are felicitated. For college students Alumni regularly conduct personality development camps, lecture series etc.
Alumni day is celebrated on 22nd December of every year with a nostalgic aim to revive the bonds of friendship and share their professional and human concerns.
